Hi, Reader —
I just landed home earlier this week from vibrant, alive London – a quickie trip to visit a dear friend and take part in a workshop that’s been calling my whole being forward. I left right after our Cancer New Moon meditation, which felt like such a potent doorway into this season.
Summer is a fire season — full, fast, expressive. This year, I’m choosing to meet it differently. Slower. More internal. A little more breath between things. So if you’re craving more depth and less noise, here are a few invitations to help you align with this Cancer season’s wisdom, just ahead of the full moon coming later this week (join me for practice!).
Here are my Top 10 (plus one) Cancer Season Tips:
1. Start by coming home to yourself.
Cancer reminds us that “home” is not a location — it’s a felt sense. A frequency. Take a few minutes today to ask yourself: What helps me feel at home in myself? Then do more of that.
2. Prioritize comfort and care.
Get cozy, get soft. Wrap yourself in something that makes you feel safe. This is not a season for punishment — it’s a season for nourishment.
3. Make your space feel like a sanctuary.
Declutter, rearrange, light a candle. Shift the energy. Let your outer space support your inner space.
4. Check in with what you’re holding.
Summer can pile on the invitations, the responsibilities, the everything. Pause and notice: What am I carrying? Are those things nourishing, or are they weighing you down?
5. Honor your capacity.
Even when everyone else is going full tilt. You are allowed to rest. You are allowed to change your mind. You are allowed to do less.
6. Let your feelings move.
This is water season. Emotion season. If something wants to rise, let it. Journal, cry, go for a walk, dance it out. The only way out is through. Gently.
7. Tend to the people who matter most.
Cancer is the sign of family, however you define it. Reach out to someone in your innermost circle. Say the true thing. Share your presence.
8. Protect what you love.
This season isn’t just about feeling — it’s about acting on love. Boundaries are one way we care. So is saying no, turning your phone off, or keeping something sacred just for you.
9. Speak from the heart.
Say how you actually feel. Not what you should say. Cancer values honesty — even if it’s tender, even if it’s messy.
10. Reflect on your path.
We’re halfway through the year. Look back with compassion. What’s changed? What’s bloomed? What’s quietly asking to be released? What comes next?
Bonus tip!
Here’s something wild: there’s no air in summer. That’s literal if you consider how stifling the heat can get; it’s also astrological, as Astro Auntie reminds us. Cancer is water. Leo is fire. Virgo is earth. There is no air sign this season, and that has real meaning. Breath becomes the remedy. Breath is perspective and spirit. Use it to ask: does this really matter? Let it bring you back to centre. To clarity. To your yes — and your no.
Keep breathing through this season to create more space and more natural pause within the fire of summer. If you’re wanting more ways to stay connected to what’s essential this season, choose your adventure:
🌝 The full Capricorn moon comes along this week, and my 90 minute lunar magic practice happens online Wednesday at 19h00 – join me for some movement, mantra and more.
🌞 The Imprint for summer is still waiting for you: a full season’s worth of on-demand meditation, mantra, and breath that you can return to anytime, to keep summer airy and light — not burnt out.
I’ll see you in an upcoming practice!
Big, big Cancer season love,
xxoo
Sara
PS: remember — Every full moon, like this one, we take time for a longer 90-minute workshop-style practice, with more movement and breath work, and priced accordingly. Every new moon, the start of the cycle, is a free hour-long gathering of meditation, mantra, journaling and sharing – next one is coming up for Leo season on Wednesday July 23. Lunar Magic is one of my favourite rhythms of the month — the gentle seed at new moon, the big crescendo at full.
