About that 6am thing ⏰

Hi, Reader —

I know.

It’s early. If you saw 6am and immediately thought, “Sara, no!” – I really do understand!

Mind you, I’m just headed back from Lac Brome – an amazing weekend with a group of beautiful women – and we practiced early Saturday and Sunday. It was eased along by the feeling of community, and the wonderful early light we have this time of year. (Not to mention the fairy tale setting in an ancient forest!)

I’ve continued to offer a live morning practice for years because there’s something beautiful about beginning while the day is still quiet – phone asleep, heat still low, nobody asking anything from you yet. It’s a nice feeling!

You might’ve heard me refer to The Imprint as a sadhana – a daily spiritual practice. It’s a way to cultivate a deeper connection to yourself and the wider spiritual world, improve your energy overall, unblock creativity, and tap into your natural intuition.

6am though? I hear you – and, this is a practice made for people with real lives.

Some of you have children, or work late, or are travelling. Some of you are already tired just reading this. Some of you are simply not 6am people, and I love you exactly as you are.

Which is why we have both doors: the live morning practice, and the recording when that’s what your life allows. You can join the live group meditation at 06h00 EDT, choose to come a little earlier at 5h45 for a short optional movement warm-up, or hit up the recording when your day gives you the space. No one dictates what hour you show up for a spiritual practice – just you.

The Imprint is meditation, simplified. I guide each practice, and we meet in community. We’ll work mostly with breath and mantra, with mudra and music too, to help steady the mind, awaken your energy, and bring you back into connection with yourself as summer begins. You don’t have to figure it out alone.

This is also why I love online practice for summer. It can come with you – home, cottage, city, suitcase, wherever you are. Morning if you can. Recording if that’s what works.

The Imprint: Summer begins Monday, June 8

Join for the five-day event, with recordings available through June 14, or hop into my membership and keep practicing through the full season.

Come live, come recorded, come sleepy. Just come, I’ll meet you there. I’d love to practice with you.

Autumn will have its own medicine. This one is for summer – for the heat, the fullness, the joy, the swirl, and the fire we’re tending now.

We start tomorrow! Are you coming?

Big love,
Sara

Hi, Reader — I’m back from Lac Brome, and landing here – for just a minute – before leaving for France with Kimiko! That’s why I offered The Imprint a week early this season, rather than trying to battle time zones and come on live with you next week. And as always, the timing feels perfect in its own way. This summer’s Imprint shares some beautiful themes with the upcoming Gemini new moon. Inside The Imprint, we are working with a meditation I affectionately call the Chicken Dance 🐔 – ahaha...

Hi, Reader — Summer always seems to arrive with a hundred invitations. I’m already feeling this one! How about you? Longer evenings and impromptu meet-ups. Travel plans – mine start soon! Family visits and dinners outside. The need to be in nature, near water, under trees, and with people you love. The sudden desire to do all the things, all at once because the season feels so precious and so short. I love that about this season! And I also know how quickly it can become a time where we lose...

Hi, Reader — I’m in NYC still, and I love it so much. This city is so full of life. It’s a wonderful place to be this time of year, too – late spring, right before everything tips into summer. I’m so happy Montreal is feeling a bit of it as well, even with those few cooler days sneaking in. The flowers are out, evenings are brighter, the city is in bloom! Spring gives us that spark. And summer? It brings the fire! The desire to play outside all day – and evening! – to say yes to invitations,...
