Go touch grass 💚

Hi, Reader —

Last weekend’s Mother’s Day practice with Kimiko was so beautiful: a room full of amazing women, and holding space for the mothers within us and around us.

Through the lens of Kundalini yoga, Mother’s Day can open into something wider than one role or one relationship. It becomes an honouring of the mothering current itself – the part of us that nourishes, protects, creates, listens, steadies, and holds life as it changes. Some of us mother children. Some of us mother through friendship, teaching, caregiving, creativity, community, animals, plants, and presence. Some of us are healing our relationship with motherhood itself. Some of us carry grief beside love. Some of us are learning, slowly and tenderly, how to mother ourselves.

And this week, that thread of care, steadiness, and inner holding leads us naturally into the Taurus new moon.

Taurus brings us back to the earth – to the body, the breath, the ground beneath us, and the inner place that can still hear what is true. After the intensity and illumination of the Scorpio full moon, this new moon asks for regulation first: a slower rhythm, a steadier nervous system, a deeper sense of safety within ourselves. Taurus reminds us that we can only rise as high as we are rooted.

Energetically, this moon may feel like a pause button in a world that keeps getting louder. It asks us to notice where our attention has been scattered, where we have been rushing, seeking, pushing, or looking outside ourselves for certainty. The medicine here is earthy and simple: slow down, simplify, tend to your needs, listen inward, and let the next version of your life grow from a place that feels grounded, embodied, and true.

Our practice meets Thursday evening at 18h30 as we move toward the darkest point of the moon on the weekend. Come practice, breathe, regulate, and root yourself in what is real.

Reserve your spot for Thursday evening’s new moon practice – I’m looking forward to connecting and grounding with this community. And I always send the replay to anyone registered.

Will I see you on this new moon?

Hi, Reader — Early May, and the city is literally in bloom! I love it, and not just because it’s also my name!! 🌸🌸 I love seeing the cherry blossom trees in NDG – they are so iconic for this time of year. And Mother’s Day is coming up this weekend, too. I have to admit, I’m a bit funny about Mother’s Day. I LOVE all the holidays. Going wild with decorations is my jam, the fun and whimsy of it all just lights me up. And with Mother’s Day, there is also something about the Hallmark aspect that...

Hi, Reader — Here we are in the last week of April! We’ve had beautiful sunshine, I got to share a wonderfully intimate Imprint gathering on Saturday morning (after a fun and slightly rowdy Katonah session before!), the Habs are hanging in there, I’m feeling much better – and in my little corner of the world, things feel very alive right now. I’ve said it before: I love this time of year! Renewal, hope, fresh inspiration. Things are blooming, and there’s real desire in the air – a forward...

Hi, Reader – I mentioned in my last email that I was just back from a quick weekend in LA for a day-long immersive practice. A few of you asked me, wasn’t it too long, or a lot for one day? Haha! Have you met me? I go all in! When something feels meaningful to me, I want in, right up to my earlobes! I want to swim in it: to spend time, study, experience fully, and see what opens when I have more than just a quick taste. My first online program, The Imprint, started as a 40-day practice! And...
