March brings feminine power 💪 and new spring creation ✨

Hi there, Reader —

Yesterday was International Women’s Day 👸🏽 — I hope you’ve spent some time this weekend celebrating the amazing women in your life and your community, and that you’ll consider spending time this month grateful for how fortunate we are here in Canada (along with many other places around the world), that women’s rights continue to advance 🙏

The power of women in many forms — Shakti, Venus, Mother Earth — has been recognized throughout time. This year, women’s day synchronicity is in the ether. As Astro Auntie tells us, the planet Venus (represented as feminine) has entered her retrograde of 40 days and 40 nights, a remarkable event that has captivated us for millennia. (It’s with good reason my original Imprint meditations lasted 40 days!) Next week is Purim, the ancient story of two strong women. And the moon, which will be at its fullest this coming week, is another important symbol of the feminine energy within us all.

Great timing, then, to announce two upcoming practices!

First, it’s time for the full moon, and with it, this new regular monthly movement class. Then, we welcome the spring edition of The Imprint: Creation Energy, honouring the vitality that rises in springtime, and the infinite potential of that divine spark that brings new life, new ideas and new possibility.

Join me for Lunar Magic 🌝 Full Moon Class90 minutes to move, meditate, breathe, live on Zoom or with the recording. This is a movement session, so you’ll want your yoga mat and to clear a little corner of space. While the actual full moon occurs in the wee hours Friday morning, we will convene for practice when the moon first appears full, starting Wednesday evening 12 March at 19h00.

Each cycle of the moon brings a new, special class — an opportunity to release, renew, realize our intentions, we can then embody them through kriya, movement and meditation. These full moons remind us of the infinite magic within and around us.

And starting 17 March, The Imprint is here just in time for the Spring Equinox 🌱 We meet each morning for 5 days at 06h00 to ring in spring, and awaken the creative forces within us all. Shakti is this creative energy, responsible for all life, often personified as feminine power.

In Creation Energy ✨ we focus on the source giving spark to all the energy in the universe. It’s within us, too — the creator and the created, we are the same. We shape our reality, and we draw the map as we navigate life. We are all made of stars — we contain big magic, and big creation energy. These meditations will reawaken your life forces and hone your mental focus to get a jump start on your spring growth. Join live and practice in community, or catch the recordings and move to your own rhythm.

If you’re keen on both practices, you can grab them together for a limited time!

Ready to spark ✨ that springtime energy?

I can’t wait to practice with you!
Sara

Hi, Reader — Welcome to Aries season! Doesn’t it seem like every season there is some end and beginning of a cycle to mark? In summer, the first crescent moon in the first month of the Islamic calendar marks the start of the new year. September brings Jewish new year and the academic cycle begins. In January, our culturally shared Gregorian calendar has us creating resolutions, and the Lunar New Year is celebrated in many eastern cultures. And in spring, with this week’s new moon, it’s the...

Hey there, Reader — As you might know, the equinox is coming up later this week, on Thursday. On the equinox, the sun appears directly above the equator, seeming to rise directly east, and set directly west. Today, though — today is the “Equilux” — where day and night are actually equal in length, 12h each. (sounds so fancy, doesn’t it?) Wouldn’t it be nice if life could be so balanced? Rationally, we know that life will always take its ups and downs. What’s important is having strategies for...

Hi, Reader — This is your reminder that The Imprint starts tomorrow, and it’s your last chance to join all 5 days live! This is it — a spring seasonal awakening, a new year on the astrological calendar, and another chance to begin again. I’m just back from a week in Costa Rica, I arrived in Montreal to melted snow, and today some rain — I’m missing the ever present sunshine from my trip, but I know it’s on its way to Montreal again soon. And with the increase in daylight, the warmer...
