Meditate with me this New Moon 🐟 in Pisces

Hi, Reader —

A reminder that Lunar Magic, my new moon practice — a free, accessible meditation and journaling practice — is coming up this Wednesday evening, with the Pisces New Moon. I hope you’ll come along, or register for the recording and practice on your own terms.

Watery Pisces seems so apt for this time of year. While here in Montreal we’ve been buried in snow for over a week, at the same time, can you feel the thaw? The warmer temperatures are making everything a little more liquid...

In Traditional Chinese Medicine, there are in fact 24 seasonal touchpoints! We’re right in the middle of late winter and early spring when we start to awaken and feel more vitality after the long, dark Yin energy of winter. Beneath the soil, seeds have begun to awaken earlier this month. Now, we can already feel water beginning to flow, bringing mixed weather — rain and snow — and a sense that the new life and rising energy of spring is on its way. And then, if you’ve noticed the odd little spider in your home, or other insects, we can see that creatures are returning from hibernation, awakening from wherever they’ve slept for winter and starting to make their foray into our world in thaw.

These are the “seasons” we’ve been experiencing and will continue to notice over the coming weeks until the equinox of spring, our next new moon, the start of the astrological calendar, and for many of us, the return to many beloved activities.

So this Pisces New Moon is the last of the astrological cycle, and as such, is deeply connected to the unseen, the spiritual, the infinite, the divine, and your dreams. Like the depths of water, we can’t see to the bottom, the reflective surface and murky shades keep us in mystery.

This is the most mystical energy of the year so far!

Join me for practice this Wednesday evening. Our Lunar Magic will encourage you to trust your inner guidance, align with divine wisdom, stay open to infinite possibility, remain connected to our compassionate soul and set our intentions for the highest good of all.

I can’t wait to practice with you tomorrow

Big love,
Sara

PS: Can’t make it this moon? All registrants receive the recording — and rest assured that I’m back in 2 weeks. Remember, full moons bring a complete movement class, to release what’s come to fruition, or let go of what’s complete — and new moons are a free gathering of meditation, breath, journaling and sharing. A moment to reset, re-vision and restart your cycle of personal growth. Hope to see you in one of these soon, they’re running all year long!

Hi, Reader — Welcome to Aries season! Doesn’t it seem like every season there is some end and beginning of a cycle to mark? In summer, the first crescent moon in the first month of the Islamic calendar marks the start of the new year. September brings Jewish new year and the academic cycle begins. In January, our culturally shared Gregorian calendar has us creating resolutions, and the Lunar New Year is celebrated in many eastern cultures. And in spring, with this week’s new moon, it’s the...

Hey there, Reader — As you might know, the equinox is coming up later this week, on Thursday. On the equinox, the sun appears directly above the equator, seeming to rise directly east, and set directly west. Today, though — today is the “Equilux” — where day and night are actually equal in length, 12h each. (sounds so fancy, doesn’t it?) Wouldn’t it be nice if life could be so balanced? Rationally, we know that life will always take its ups and downs. What’s important is having strategies for...

Hi, Reader — This is your reminder that The Imprint starts tomorrow, and it’s your last chance to join all 5 days live! This is it — a spring seasonal awakening, a new year on the astrological calendar, and another chance to begin again. I’m just back from a week in Costa Rica, I arrived in Montreal to melted snow, and today some rain — I’m missing the ever present sunshine from my trip, but I know it’s on its way to Montreal again soon. And with the increase in daylight, the warmer...
